Art activism: Choirs unite in support of asylum seekers

November 12, 2014

Refugee (Have Mercy) is the theme song for Walking Borders, a group dedicated to art activism for refugee rights.

It was sung by a huge choir as the Walking Borders' flotilla sailed the Brisbane river during the recent G20 event. A flotilla of thousands of paper boats met the people's march as it crossed the river.

Dozens of singers carried this tune. And you can carry it too > have a listen.

Performance by Mundy-Turner, With One Voice Brisbane, Freedom Train choir and Mixed Beans multicultural choir — at Brisbane City Hall.
