There are so many ways you can help refugees.
We always need volunteers, donors, contributors, and allies.
Find an option to suit you!
Do you want to get involved in calling for changes to the Australian Government's Refugee and Asylum Seeker Policies?
Would you like to help build and organise events? Come and be part of RAC's organising committee.
All refugee rights supporters are welcome to participate in RAC organising meetings, whatever your level of experience. For those wishing to get involved in the campaign for the first time, coming to the organising meeting is a good first step.
Meetings are generally held every 2 weeks. Occasionally there may be a last minute reschedule, so it's always good to confirm a day or two beforehand by contacting Mark Gillespie:

We would really appreciate your time and energy to assist us with our campaigns.
Find out just how rewarding it can be to work with people with a common goal, for something you believe in.
Can you help out:
on your uni campus, or on street stalls?
with administration or the web site?
with research and writing?
with media or fundraising?
designing flyers and posters?
The Refugee Action Collective in Brisbane engages in a variety of activities as a part of its campaigning, such as holding stalls, writing media articles, organising public meetings and film nights, trade union lobbying, community liaison, and many other activities.
As a RAC activist and volunteer you can choose which activities to get involved in, depending on your particular skills, availability and interests. If you’re not sure where to start, why not volunteer for a street stall? It's a great way to meet like-minded people and learn more about the campaign.
We'd love to hear from you if you have ideas or skills you’d like to share.
