Carly Stephan: crowdfunding for Refugee Welfare and Advocacy organisations


Crowdfunding for refugee rights advocates

The Refugee Action Collective Queensland is delighted to announce that Carly Stephan, Program Manager at the Centre for Social Change, will be a guest speaker at the Brisbane Refugee Welfare and Advocacy Conference, to be held at QUT Gardens Point campus on 7 March 2015.

She will be speaking at the conference Fundraising workshop; one of six collaborative sessions bringing together migrants, refugee support and advocacy networks, and service providers.

Carly is an experienced international development practitioner, researcher and writer. She has worked extensivley in the Pacific region, as well as South East Asia and Eastern Africa.

Carly brings almost a decade of experience managing international development projects in a variety of fields including; sustainable livelihoods, gender and governance, women's empowerment, climate change adaptation and community development.
