Calling for Expressions of Interest for Stalls at the 2015 RAC QLD Refugee Welfare and Advocacy Conf

Are you working to support and advocate for refugee and migrant welfare? Want to know more about the work of other organisations; the services they provide or volunteer opportunities?

You are invited to host a stall as part of the Volunteer Expo at the 2015 RAC QLD Brisbane Refugee Welfare & Advocacy Conference.

At the refugee and migrant sector and Volunteer Expo, community organisations are invited to:

  • Set up a stall to recruit new volunteers

  • Promote your organisation's work

  • Share information, literature and resources with participants and volunteers

  • Learn about other organisations working in the sector

  • Sign up to contact lists

  • Donate

More than 100 conference attendees are expected to meet, network and exchange ideas. A major highlight will be the Scattered People's Choir performance.

Stallholders at the conference are encouraged to set up a stall all day with no cost, however the peak time for stallholders is the Volunteer Expo from 12:45-1:45 pm.

Check the map for the drop-off point outside parliament house, close to the conference venue. Click below for a basic map. Stall positions will be mapped out by organisers. The building is wheelchair accessible as are all areas where the conference is being held.

  • Bring your own equipment, tables, etc.

  • Outdoor stalls (weather permitted) bring your own shade

  • Volunteer Expo Duration: 1 hour 12:45 - 1:45 pm

  • Stall can be as simple as a card table or as sophisticated as a marquee

  • Lunch provided

  • Donations appreciated

Registration is free for stall holders but for $60 you'll receive two conference bags and help us to raise money for refugee rights advocacy in Brisbane.
