Peter Dutton is not fit to hold office. Last week he labeled the refugees sent to the USA as "economic refugees". This was a deliberate lie as Dutton knows that they have been through two very rigorous systems of assessment. He also knows that they have found to be genuine refugees needing protection. Dutton also claimed the refugees on Nauru and Manus are living the high-life, but only days later, after four years in hell, sadly another refugee on Manus took his own life. So much for the high-life!
Meanwhile on Nauru he still gambles with refugees’ lives. Advice from doctors seeking urgent medical transfers to Australia is being ignored. One woman seeking an abortion waited 15 weeks and was only allowed to come after a court intervention. Then there is Arash, an Iranian refugee on Nauru who's wife and daughter are in Australia and are too sick to return to Nauru. If he ever wants to go to the USA he’s been told he must give up his custodial rights or rot on Nauru forever. It’s time to call Peter Dutton to account. Stop the torment and bring them here now.
